🇮🇹 Mentre stavo cercando immagini per un lavoro sui paesaggi autunnali, ho visto una foto di un tempio giapponese che era molto suggestiva. 

Si tratta solo di uno schizzo in digitale: ho tratto la palette dei colori dalla foto. Era quello che mi interessava maggiormente dello studio. Ho giocato con i livelli e i pennelli, scoprendo molte cose che prima non sapevo. Per esempio, sono stata capace a rendere l'acqua: all'inizio ho fatto il colore dello sfondo. Poi ho sovrapposto i movimenti delle onde e i tratti del ponte e degli alberi. Infine ho usato un pennello che creava strisce di colore più chiaro e ho capito come rendere il riflesso.

Per quanto riguarda il fogliame, ho notato come fosse piacevole lasciare le macchie di colore contrastanti, come in una soffice nebbia; sarebbe inutile disegnare alla perfezione il fogliame. Così, ho reso anche quella vaga atmosfera sospesa, no?

È stato uno schizzo piuttosto laborioso, ma alla fine ho intuito anche come avrei dovuto lavorare se avessi dovuto dipingere con tecniche pittoriche tradizionali. 

Trovo queste immagini dei templi giapponesi molto esotiche: sembra che il tempo rimanga sospeso sebbene la natura continui il suo ciclo di stagioni. Questo schizzo digitale mi ha fatto cogliere i dettagli di un tempio, anche se a grandi linee. Perciò lo posso considerare come un ottimo studio. 

🇬🇧 While I was sailing on the Net to find out some Autumnal landscapes, I took a look at this ancient Japanese temple, very suggestive. 

It is just a digital sketch: I studied the palette of the colours from the real picture. That was the point interested me mostly. I played with levels and tools, understanding many tricks I did not know. For example, I was good at rendering the pond: at first, I painted all the colour on the background. Then I put in evidence the movements of the waves and the lines of the bridge and the trees. At last, I used a brush that painted lighter lines of colour - so, I realize that work was revealing the reflection over the pond. 

As for the foliage, I noticed how pleasant would be those spotting, contrasting colours, look-like haze; it would be irrelevant to precisely draw the foliage. However, I think that vague suspended atmosphere was there, what do you think?

Sketching that temple was rather hard work, but in the end I grasped how I should paint it with traditional techniques. 

I consider these pictures of ancient japanese temples so exotic: it seems that time holds on, despite of the cycling seasons. This digital sketch makes me follow up the contours of a temple, though if in broad outline. So I can describe as a good training to paint.
